To: Scotty and John,
What a heart-moving memorial took place yesterday for your beloved dad. As I watched and listened to folks talk about your dad, I literally felt the immense respect and deep love that so many folks have for your dad. All that was expressed was so touching and that included what both of you had to say about your dear father. What I gleaned from your eulogies was your deep, deep love for your dad, and I intuited that he knew you both loved him so very much and that it was one of his greatest gifts in life that meant so much to him. And know to your core that the love you gave your dad was a most beautiful gift to him as his love was to you.
Be aware that your dad might come to you in your dreams or he might activate some physical manifestation that will instantly remind you of him--you'll know it's him. He will be around you in spirit, so be sure to talk to him.
Love is so powerful and motivating and life sustaining and healing. I could see that you both know how to love--deeply. I could see that love emanating from both of you yesterday--it was beautiful--surely, a gift from your dad.

Whit, Todd and Mark,
Sorry to read about your old buddy. I remember him visiting the Delt House and then other lacrosse functions throughout the next 50 years. We are sorry for your loss. Remember all that he did with you and for you, and he will live in your heart forever. The sadness you feel today will turn to happy memories in the years to come.
