Richard Fleury Obituary

Richard Allen Fleury, age 77, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born with a generous spirit & a gift for bringing comedy to every situation, Richard built a life filled with dedication, humor, & unwavering love. For more than 35 years, he served with the Baltimore City Housing Authority retiring as a Senior Housing Inspector, where his hard work, loyalty, & steady presence touched countless colleagues and community members.

Richard was the beloved husband of the late Pam Fleury, with whom he shared a lifetime of laughter. He was the proud father of Emily & Elizabeth Fleury. His joy expanded with the arrival of his cherished grandchildren: Charlotte Schaech, LJ Asquith, Jesse Fleury, Maggie Jo Asquith, and Madilyn Asquith, each of whom brought him immeasurable pride, & who were the center of his world. Richard also held much love for his best friend of 62 years, Henry Grantham.

He is survived by his loving siblings Barbara Bea Fleury & Roger Lee Fleury, as well as his caring in-laws Cathleen, Danny, & Lisa Boyle, who were important parts of his extended family.

Richard's talents were legendary among those who knew him well: an expert crab picker, a master of deviled eggs, & the life of every party. He was a passionate Baltimore Orioles supporter & a devoted Rolling Stones fanatic-soundtracks & seasons that shaped many of his happiest days.

Richard will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, his stories, & the way he made everyone feel welcome at his table.
