Richard Kinsler Obituary

Richard "Dick" E. Kinsler, 90, of Willow Street, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Born in Cairo, IL, he was the son of the late Ophelia (Craig) and Joseph F. Kinsler. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Lecky) Kinsler, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.

Dick earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1959. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the United States Army from1960-1962. His career was spent in Research and Development for the U.S. Government, in MD and FL, where his dedication and expertise made a lasting impact.

Dick and his wife loved traveling and camping in their RV in 49 states. They were also involved in Boy Scouts, and square dancing. Dick will be remembered for his dry sense of humor and ability to tell a good story.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; four children, Richard W. Kinsler husband of Cyndi of Knox, PA; Robert Kinsler, husband of Brenda, of Joppa, MD; Debra Kinsler of Baltimore, MD; and Charles J. Kinsler of Baltimore, MD; along with eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

A Memorial Service will be held at11AM on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Christ Our King Church, Bel Air, MD.

Interment will be private at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, VA.
