Mr.Patry was genuine, classic, and a true coach to all of the athletes and students who attended Archbishop Curley during the years he was present on campus. The fact that he continued to positively influence all of us well after we had graduated was a testament to what a good man he was. While he will surely be missed by his family and friends he certainly won't be forgotten by any who had the good fortune to know him. If there's a football team in the afterlife I'm sure he'll be the one drawing the x's and o's on the whiteboard.

When I think of my days at Curley I think first and foremost of "Coach" Patry. He truly was the personification of "Curley". Rest well, sir.

When I visit Oakcrest I would see him. Two weeks ago I sat with him on his porch and we chatted for quite a while. He was excited that he was playing cards mostly every night and said his son said Dad I have to make an appointment to talk to you. He would tell me about his trips to Curley. He missed his wife very much. Last Saturday the day he passed I came to Oakcrest and looked at his unit thinking I would see him. Never could I imagine he was in heaven. He will be missed. What a wonderful man. My sincere sympathy to his son and daughter. Michael Bonner class of 1976.

Great coach who knew how to lift you up and get the most out of his players.
It was an honor to play for Coach Patry as a freshmen and the second class to enter Archbishop Curley High School in 1963. We were the freshmen co-champions of the MSA under the leadership and amazing direction of Coach Patry.
To his family; he was a blessing to me personally and the thousands of young men who passed through his gym office in his many loyal years at Curley.
God Bless, Stephen Gibbons Class of 1966.
