Richard Sherman Obituary
On June 6, 2017, Dr. Richard Harold Sherman; beloved husband of Dr. Jane Sherman (nee Ehlinger); devoted brother of Randy (Linda) Sherman, Kathy Ann (Rick) Bradburn, and the late Steven Larry Sherman, Sr.; loving son of Ann and the late Harold Sherman; adoring grandson of the late Theresa and Isaac Sherman. Services at SOL LEVINSON & BROS., INC., 8900 Reisterstown Road, at Mount Wilson Lane on Sunday, June 11, at 1 pm. Interment is private. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to The Defiance College Mikula-Frey Travel Initiative Defiance, Ohio 43512 or Compassionate Care Hospice 20165 Office Circle Suite 2 Georgetown, DE 19947.

Dr Sherman treated me for several years when I lived in Delaware. He and his whole staff were very compassionate and caring. He took time out to listen to your concerns and responded to you in lay persons terms. He is missed

My late son, Danny, was fortunate enough to have had Dr. Sherman as a physician. They became good friends as well.. Danny looked forward to each visit and enjoyed seeing Jane and the dogs.
The Dr. was never too busy to make Danny feel special.

My prayers are with the family and Jane.
Dr. Sherman was my mentor and Medical Director as we established the first Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Milford Memorial in Milford, Delaware. He also took excellent care of my parents. He will be remembered forever.

Rich, Matt Gibney and I had rooms in the same boarding house on Hollins Street during our second year at the University of Maryland. Rich was always ready to help his fellow students and ultimately became a strong advocate for patient's rights. His and his wife's recent gift to the University reflected his continuing interest in medical innovation for the benefit of patients everywhere. He will be missed.
