Robert Fleishman Obituary

FLEISHMAN, SR. , Robert Earl Robert Earl Fleishman, Sr. age 71, of Chadbury Lane passed away quietly at home surrounded by family and friends Saturday, July 4, 2009 after a two year battle with cancer. Born May 1, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland, Robert was the fourth of seven children to the late Jacob and Rose Fleishman. Mr. Fleishman served in the U.S. Navy and retired from the Baltimore Bricklayers Local #1. He was a former member of Blue Knights, Moose and Elks Lodge. He enjoyed cooking, woodworking and was an avid gardener. Mr. Fleishman and his wife Janet moved to Myrtle Beach in 2006 from Greensboro, Maryland. He is preceded in death by two sisters Dolores Crawford and Beverly French. Survivors include his wife of 50 years Janet E. Fleishman; two sons Robert Fleishman, Jr. and his wife Judi and Gregory Fleishman and wife Karen both of Maryland; four brothers Frank, Edward, and Lee Fleishman of Maryland and Charles and wife Emma Fleishman of Myrtle Beach; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel with Pastor David Pohto officiating. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
