Rose DiPietro Obituary

Rose Rita DiPietro passed away on November 12, 2024 at the Oak Crest Village retirement community in Parkville, Maryland. She was 92 years of age.



Rose Rita was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 18, 1931, the beloved daughter of Nunzio "Joe" Testa and Rose (Culotta) Testa and was raised in the Pimlico area. A graduate of Seton High School, she was employed with the State of Maryland. Rose Rita married the "love of her life" Salvatore J. DiPietro in 1954 and resided in Pikesville. The couple moved to Kent Island in 1975 where they were active members of St. Christopher's parish. After her husband Salvatore's death in 1996 she continued to live on Kent Island until moving to Oak Crest Village in 2017.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son Joseph DiPietro, son-in-law Rene Karoussos, and daughter-in-law Valerie DiPietro.



Rose Rita is survived by sons Vincent DiPietro MD, Robert DiPietro, daughter Patricia (DiPietro) Karoussos, daughter-in- law Susan DiPietro, grandchildren Christopher, Peter, Anthony, Alexandra, Bryce and great-grandson Ambrose.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday December 7, 2024 at 10am at the Oak Crest Village chapel followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society.
