Ruth Komenda Obituary

Ruth Komenda Affectionately known as "Dupey," Ruth Komenda passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in Bel Air, Maryland, at the age of 95.

Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel Wagner and the devoted wife of the late John Joseph Komenda. She was the beloved mother of John and his wife Debbie, deceased son Larry and his wife Annette, Jerry and his deceased wife Cathy, daughter Kathy Scilipoti and husband Mario, Philip and his wife Pat, Tom, and Michael and his companion Nicole Tamburello. She was loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren: Christin, Jeff, Larry, Kevin, David, Lauren, Thomas, Tony, Phillip and Luke. She was also great grandmother to 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 2–4 & 6–8 p.m. at McComas Family Funeral Homes in Bel Air. A mass will be held at St Francis of Assisi church on Wednesday, September 24 at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences may be shared at mccomasfuneralhome.com.
