Sad to see this! I worked for Scott when he was District level in charge of Non-Management personnel hiring for C&P of Maryland! I was his Second level in charge of hiring for the Baltimore metro area. He was a good boss and more important, a decent human being. My deepest condolences to his family.

Hi Carol, I just spotted this on a "Balto Sun read on line" while lunch heating in the oven. I understood you really lost Scott a number of years ago with Dementia and know that you have had a long and tragic "goodby". At least you had all those wonderful sails when you did. Prayerful support. JMC

I worked for Scott in Marketing, at C&P/Bell Atlantic from 1977 to 1984. Funny, fair, considerate a wonderful manager and person. My condolences to the family.

So sorry, Scott, for your loss. I am not sure if you are the Scott Corey, great student in my class at Loyola High. I offer you my condolences and prayers for you and your family.

Scott interviewed me for my job with C&P as I was leaving active naval service. He asked me to describe my most significant accomplishment. I described my bringing my 310 ft. destroyer into harbor and mooring it to a pier. My commanding officer then designated me as Officer of the Deck, Fleet, a must step before one can assume command of a warship. Scott, a Navy man and sailor saw that as significant and I was hired. I have been indebted ever since.

Scott was my first District Manager at C & P Telephone. He was a quiet, kind person who put up with this New from college kid coming along for lunch a few days a week because I didn't know anyone else.
He was an open person who encouraged me to try new things at the Phone Company and set me on a career path that I enjoyed.
I will always hold a special memory of him in my heart and mind. So sorry for your loss, but thank you for sharing him with the Phone Company.
