Steven Smith Obituary
Steven was born in Kansas City, MO and raised in Levittown, PA. He received his BA from LaSalle College, where he met his wife of 44 years. The son of a doctor, Steven followed in his father's footsteps, graduating from the Philadelphia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 1979. He completed his residency in radiology at the Thomas Jefferson Medical College in 1984. Following residency, he moved to Maryland with his wife, Rosemary, and started his family.
Steven had a deep work ethic and a love for his profession. He most recently was a partner at Advanced Radiology where he was proud of the quality of the medicine practiced and the lifelong friendships he created there. When not working, his greatest joy was spending time with his children. He even volunteered to be an assistant soccer coach for one of his children's recreational teams despite having no knowledge of the sport. His family remembers the many wonderful meals he would routinely prepare for them and their friends. Steven was the unofficial "chef" of the household.
Steven loved a strong cup of coffee and a good glass of wine and took pleasure in educating his three children about the importance of both. Steven enjoyed spending his free time traveling the globe and skiing with his wife and children. He always had a smile on his face, a contagious laugh, and consistently put others before himself.
Services are private. A celebration of life will be held at a date to be decided. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association of Maryland, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093 or the charity of your choice.
