Alex Fleming Obituary

Alex Scott Fleming West Frankfort, Illinois Alex Scott Fleming, age 56, formerly of Albion passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at his residence. He was born in 1955 to George and Carol Fleming in Albion, Michigan. Alex was a graduate of Homer High School. He was an avid fisherman, a supporter of the Homer Lake and was a coin collector. Alex is survived by: son-Alex S. Fleming Jr. of Illinois, sisters- Sue (Ken) Blight of Albion, Georgia Fleming of New York, Beth (Phillip) Brown of Florida, April Rodesiller of Kentucky, brother- Terry L. Fleming of Homer. According to his wishes, Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date in June. Assistance with Memorial Contributions to: Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude's is available at the Funeral Home www.kevintiddfuneralhome.com

Alex was a good friend, a tough guy with a soft heart. I remember his
standard line he always used when selling carpet cleaning in L.A. His
audacity still brings a smile to my face. He is up there right now making his pitch on what he gets to be in his next life. Alex will not be forgotten

It's never easy losing someone you love. Alex lived over about a block from where I grew up in Homer. I used to pay quit well to help me deliver my papers on my route. I think he got 50 cents but that went a long way back then. We are all just travelers through this world and will connect on the other side. RIP Alex....

So sorry to hear about Alex. I have so many fond memories of him. I stayed in touch with him while he was away in the Boys home and when he came home he came and seen me asap. He had made me a vest from leather with fringe on it. I Often thought about him as a matter of fact just a few days ago. How the years go by. Once again I am so sorry for your loss.
