Carolyn Borchardt Obituary
Battle Creek - Died Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Evergreen Senior Care. Carolyn was born on May 21, 1940, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Rainey and Jesse (Sexton) Hughes. She had been a lifelong resident of the area. She was united in marriage to Norman Borchardt who preceded her in death in 2016. Surviving are sons, Scott L. Borchardt and Douglas W. Borchardt; grandchildren; Chris (Brenda) Borchardt, Stephanie (Kenneth) Prough and David (Elizabeth) Borchardt; adopted grandchildren, Ashley Stanley and Brittany Stanley; great grandson. Ryan Prough and a lifelong close friend, Kay McBride. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 12:00 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m., to 12:00 p.m., prior to the service. In compliance with the current State of Michigan orders, the number of persons in the funeral home is limited to 25 and masks are required of all in attendance.
