Fred Looper Obituary

Fred Looper Fred Looper joined his father in heaven on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Casa de la Luz Hospice Center in Tucson, AZ. He was 70 years old. Fred was born on January 9, 1941 in Sunk Cane, TN. He was married to Sally Klepper in 1962 in Battle Creek, MI (divorced in 1980). He was a member of the Level Park Baptist Church. He retired in 1998 from Michigan Carton in Battle Creek after 40 years of employment. In 1999 he moved to Tucson, AZ and became a member of the Sandario Baptist Church. His favorite hobbies included attending church functions, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and watching NASCAR races. He was preceded in death by his mother, Erma (Hammons) Looper; his father, Hollis Looper; his sisters, Hazel (Chadwick) Looper and JoAnn (Billy) Pickett; his brothers, Bobby (Stephany) Looper and Ted Looper (whereabouts unknown). He is survived in death by his daughter, Bridget (Shannon) Briscoe of Tucson, AZ; his sons, Robert Looper of Tucson, AZ and Anthony (Christine) Looper of Lake Zurich, IL; his sisters, Stella (Robert) Dull of Battle Creek, MI, Jewell (Robert) McMillan of Battle Creek, MI and Wanda (Terry) Heatherington of Mohave Valley, AZ. Memorial services were held on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Sandario Baptist Church, 6971 Sandario Road, Tucson, AZ 85743. Donations can be made to the Sandario Baptist Church in Fred's name. Arrangements were made by Desert Sunset Funeral Home.
