Gary Lee Kyser Battle Creek It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gary Lee Kyser, age 77 on Monday morning April 9, 2012 at Bronson Battle Creek. He was born September 11, 1934 in Battle Creek, MI the son of Clarence Kyser and Wilma M. (Campbell) Kyser. Gary worked for 32 years for the Albion Machine & Tool Company as a tool and die maker, he retired in 1994. Gary graduated in 1952 from Battle Creek Central High School where he played clarinet in the band. Gary was proud to serve his country with the US Army as a Private Second Class where he served in Verdun, France. He later attended four years at Battle Creek Vocational School taking training in the tool and die field. Gary was a lifelong Battle Creek resident except for time he was Private Second Class in the U S Army serving in Verdun, France. Gary was a member of the Convis United Methodist Church, he was a member of the Battle Creek Masonic Lodge # 12 F & AM, was a member and the Secretary/Treasurer of the Royal Arch masonic chapter 19, Zabud Grand Council of Royal and Select Masons #9, he was also a member of the Calhoun Shrine # 24 White Shrine of Jerusalem, member of the Southern Michigan Amateur Radio Society, the Red Cross Emergency Services and member of the Rainbow Chasers. He enjoyed traveling, square dancing, computers, lending a hand to others in need and was a member of the Cheerful Campers Club. Gary is survived by a son: Joseph Kyser of GA; daughters - Beverly Kyser-Steed and husband Dane of FL and Sherry Capman and husband Keith of Battle Creek; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother - Kenneth C. and wife Charlotte Kyser of Battle Creek; and his mother: Wilma M. (Kyser) Picard of Battle Creek. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Kyser in 1966, and his brother: Buddy Kyser in Oct 17. 2005 Visitation will be held at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service Wednesday, April 11, 2012 where the family will be present from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. A Special Masonic Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bachman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Sue Ann Hagan of the Convis United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Memorial tributes may be made to the American Red Cross.
