Graham Edward Cadwallader

Graham Edward Cadwallader, 63, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at home. He was born on August 21, 1953, in Lima, Peru the son of Cyril Cadwallader and Jeanette (Ramsden) Cadwallader.Graham attended Wheaton North High School  in IL, and graduated in 1973. After high school he settled in Wheaton, IL and married his wife Signe on October 27, 1979 at Village Green Baptist Church in Glen Ellyn, IL. He was a Local 27 Chicago Glazier, he worked at the Sears Tower, The Harold Washington Library, and the Art Institute. He also worked on many buildings in the north and west Chicago suburbs. He was an expert caulker, and his wife called him the king of caulk. He took great joy in pointing out the buildings that he had worked on. Graham lived in Africa, Britain, Switzerland, and several places in the United States. A devoted father, Graham thoroughly enjoyed his family. He was highly involved with his children and grandchildren's lives. He also ushered at West Chicago Bible Church and volunteered with the Boy Scouts. He was proud that both of his sons were Eagle Scouts, his daughter a Golden Apple Scholar, and all three children graduated from college. 

 Graham is survived by his wife of 37 years - Signe Marie (Espeland) Cadwallader of Battle Creek, Michigan; sons, Graham (Elizabeth) Cadwallader of Castle Rock, CO and Glen (Naomi) Cadwallader; daughter, Elsa Cadwallader of Chicago, IL; brother, Brian (Sandi) Cadwallader of Mequon, WI; grandchildren, Colin, Kaylin, Callie, Eli, and Maryn. He is also survived by his mother and a host of other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.

After his retirement in 2009, he enjoyed being a stay at home husband and father. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who would ask. He was a wonderful man with a caring heart and he will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all the lives he has impacted.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Dupage Cremations & Memorial Chaple, 951 W. Washington St., West Chicago, IL 60185, on Saturday, October 22, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.Arrangements by the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service.   269-788-9800  www.baxterfuneral.com
