Hazel Sanborn Obituary

Hazel M. Sanborn Battle Creek Hazel M. Sanborn, 93, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Battle Creek Health System. She was born March 30, 1915 in San Diego, CA the daughter of William E. and Samtha E. Cantrell. She married Wendell A. Sanborn on October 15, 1932 in Angola, IN and he preceded her in death on November 9, 1985. Hazel worked for Leila Hospital for many years until she retired. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and embroidering. She is survived by her children, Marjorie (Glen) Webster of Battle Creek, Wendell A. Sanborn of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Robert Webster, David Webster, Sanford Sanborn, Susan Mitchell, Wendy McKeefer, Denise Sanborn, Jeff Sanborn; 8 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery's Chapel with Pastor Robert L. Zuhl officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to charity of one's choice.
