Joseph Tabiadon Obituary

Joseph Tabiadon Battle Creek Joseph Tabiadon, 89 of Battle Creek, died Friday, September 30, 2011 at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. He was born November 25, 1921 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Italian immigrants, Louis and Anna (Rossi) Tabiadon. A lifelong resident of the area, he worked at Michigan Tile and Terrazzo for 14 years and retired in 1983 from the Eaton Corporation where he worked for 21 years. Mr. Tabiadon was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. On June 30, 1943 he was married to Leah I. (Tobias), who survives. Also surviving are three children: Joseph J. (Carole) Tabiadon of Marshall, Vera (David) Helmer of Battle Creek and Elsie (Jim) Collins of Marshall; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother: Mareo S. Tabiadon of Elkhart, IN; and sister: Rose Tabiadon of Battle Creek. He was preceded in death by a brother: Bruno Tabiadon and sister: Katherine Smith. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Jerome Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jerome Catholic Church or Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. www.henryfuneralhome.org

I've known Uncle (honorary title for me) Joe for 56 years. He feed me well, made sure I was safe when I took a shower at the house and made me laugh! I'll miss him.
