L. LaFon Obituary

L. Jay LaFon Battle Creek Jay LaFon, 52, of Battle Creek, died December 20, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. He was born July 23, 1956 in Des Plaines, Illinois to Don and Jacki (Goodman) LaFon. He was owner of LaFon Drywall of which he had been doing for the past 40 years. Jay enjoyed going to Victory Bar for coffee, collecting everything about eagles and American Indians. He especially loved being with his son Christopher. Jay married Susan Brown on December 23, 1998 in Battle Creek, she survives. He is also survived by a son Christopher M. LaFon of Battle Creek; brothers, Don LaFon of Greenacres, Florida and Jack LaFon of Wellington, Florida; and an aunt, Barb Walker of Mount Vernon, Ohio. Jay was preceded in death by his parents. At the request of the family there will be no visitation or services. Memorial donations may be made to Humane Society of South Central Michigan. I remember, every Sunday we would drive in the golf cart up to Denys and eat breakfast and just talk, I remeber feeling like such a big boy driving my dad in the golf cart. I´ll never forget you dad, please make sure to give mom the biggest hug from me, I miss you both so much.
