Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:1–8).
So very saddened by your loss. Praying for you and your family during this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Scott, you will be missed. One great memory I have of Scott is how he was always at the Munster Hockey games. Then, during his senior year, Scott said he didn't want to just watch; he wanted to play. Even though he never played hockey before, Scott got the equipment, tried out, and made the team. He was an integral member of our team who never hesitated to stand up for his team memebers. That is something that I will always remember and respect Scott Sherwood for. I was glad to call him a friend.
