Barbara McCollom Obituary
A Funeral Service for Barbara JoAnn "Jody" McCollom of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 21, 2015, at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service at the church.
Barbara passed away February 17, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 74. She was born November 2, 1940, in Salem, Illinois, the daughter of Claude and Lucy Mae White Denham. She married David E. McCollom on November 29, 1968 at Salem, Illinois and worked as a Passenger Service Agent for American Airlines. Barbara lived in Mountain Home since 1996, moving from Hurst, Texas. She was a member of the Three Diamond Society with American Airlines, American Legion Auxiliary, South Mountain Home Extension Club, and Red Hat Society "Ms. Bee Haven". She enjoyed traveling and cruises.
Barbara is survived by her husband, David McCollom of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Brenda Cornelious of Collinsville, IL, two sons, Brandon McCollom of Gassville, AR and John McCollom of St. Louis, MO; brother, Jerry (Barbara) Denham of Centerville, GA and five grandchildren, Christina (Charlie) Harris, Christopher Cornelius, Dallis P., Ethan and Carter McCollom.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Robert L. Hayden.
Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum with Lyndel McCurley, Burl Clark, Jim Hartzer, Chuck Schelinski, Harold Appleby, and Don Rosa as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Adam and Eve Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
