Jessie Flippin, 75

Jessie Flippin, age 75, of Flippin, Arkansas passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Jessie was born in Buffalo, Arkansas on August 30, 1939 to the late Marshall and Ivon (Duggins) Knight. She was a lifelong resident of the area. She and her late husband, Jug, were co-owners of Flippin Brothers Well Drilling Company for many years. She had also worked as a supervisor with Mar-Bax Shirt Company. Jessie was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, and she served on the Fairview Cemetery Board.

Jessie is survived by her son, Marcus Flippin, of Flippin, Arkansas; her daughter Marsha Massey and her husband, John, of Flippin, Arkansas; one brother, Jimmie Knight and his wife, Carol Sue, of Gassville, Arkansas; two sisters: Bessie Henderson and her husband, T.J.; and Nancy Crawford and her husband, Joey; all of Mountain Home, Arkansas; five granddaughters: Casey Massey, Courtney (Massey) Smith, Lindsey Campbell, Megan Gibson, and Erica Morris; two step-grandchildren: Lynzie Towe, and Jordan Massey; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold "Jug" Flippin, in 2013; four brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation for Mrs. Flippin will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Burns Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Louis Stephens and Bro. Lynn Beck officiating.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Flippin, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Bob Wortman, Monte Barnett, Brady Barnett, Alan Henderson, Wes Henderson, Bob Knight, Tommy Knight, and Shawn Loving.
