John Schalz Obituary
He was born on June 12, 1937, in Aurora, Illinois, to John and Anna (Laurinas) Schalz. He married Ok Hui Chun on Sept. 5, 1983, in Elgin, Illinois, and for the last 28 years, they lived in Mountain Home.
John is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ok Hui (Chun) Schalz; two sons, John (Joann) Schalz and Christopher (Marina) Van Fleet; two daughters, Joan (Greg) Roerig and Kimberly (Douglas) Melahn; two sisters, Margaret "Peg" (Tom) Lentz and Anita Wrona; nine grandchildren, Jordon, Samantha, Jake, Joe, Jason, Sara, Larry, Tanner and Alex; six great-grandchildren, Miles, Rosie, Cameron, Beckett, Hudson and Magnolia and Baby Nora, due in December.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Schalz; one daughter, Sue Lobben; one son-in-law, Mark Lobben; one brother, Chuck Schalz; one sister-in-law, Sharon Schalz; one brother-in-law, Robert Wrona; and one grandson, Austin.
Services will be private.
