Joyce Hopper Obituary
She was born Sept. 15, 1939, in Pangburn, Arkansas, to Bennett and Edith (Brown) Van Patten. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Mountain Home for over 55 years. She and her late husband, Lynn, along with his brother, established the family business, Hopper Termite Control, in 1963. She had a great interest in her family's genealogy. She was a Daughter of the American Revolution and was active in a central Arkansas DAR chapter.
Joyce is survived by one son, David (Jill) Hopper; two daughters, Debbie (Barney) Larry and Denise (Joe) Barrè; six grandchildren, Dallas (Rebekah) Hopper, Dawson (Jessica) Hopper, Lindsey (Dell) Leonard, Bryce (Christine) Larry, Brittany (Jake) Roper and Allie Barrè; 12 great-grandchildren, Ashlynn, Will, Grant, Briana, Britney, Anna, Rafe, Sunni, Charlotte, Thad, Asher and Hudson and two great-great-grandchildren, Maya and Lyla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister.
A visitation will be held between noon and 2 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Roller Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m..
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Pest Management Association Lynn Hopper Memorial Scholarship at arkansaspest.org or Baxter Regional Medical Center Hospital Foundations, 624 Hospital Drive, Mountain Home.
Interment will be at Baxter Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of Roller Funeral Home. Please visit our online guestbook at rollerfuneralhomes.com.
