Evansville, Indiana
Laura M. Wheeler, 50, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at her home. She was born November 17, 1967 in Evansville.
She was a graduate of Memorial High School. Laura was a Good Samaritan, loved children and took in many people with nowhere to go and always made sure they ate. She enjoyed animals and online shopping. She loved her kids and grandbabies and was always there for her family.
Laura was preceded in death by her first husband, Monty Ray Clement.
She is survived by husband of 10 years, Kevin Wheeler; son, Drew Clement; daughters, Brittany Alford (Jeffrey) and Chelsea Clement; grandchildren, Summer, Hadley, Madison, Austin, Emalyn and Raylynn; sisters, Michele "Shelley" Rutkowski and Cheryl Smith (Andrew); father, Arthur D. Rutkowski (Barbara); mother, Lezlie Simmons (Jay Shrode), and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be 10:00AM, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Alexander East
Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Pastor Mark Silen, with entombment in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit 4:00 to 7:00PM, Friday, May 11, 2018 with a memorial service at 7:00PM, officiated by Fr. Ted Tempel and 9:00AM to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
