Lawrence Ritter, 70

Lawrence "Larry" Ritter, 70, of Mountain Home, AR passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Larry was born on February 16, 1945 in Streator, Illinois to Kenneth and Mary (Trainor) Ritter.

He was an Air Force Veteran and served in Vietnam as a crew chief on C-130s. He worked at Beckman Motors and Star Ford in Streator, IL before moving to Mountain Home, AR in 1974. After moving to Mountain Home, AR, he owned and operated Ritter Citgo, with his father, and Larry's Auto Service. Also, before his retirement, Larry was maintenance supervisor for the Mountain Home Street Department. He loved to hunt, fish and work on cars.

Larry is survived by his wife, Jane (Daugherity) Ritter of the home; three children, Stefanie Ritter of Kansas City, KS, Brent Ritter of Leawood, KS and Kent (Christine) Ritter of Auburn, WA; two grandchildren (with a third on the way), McKenzie Allanach and Christian Ritter; one brother, KC Ritter of Illinois; one sister Janice Cave of Illinois; two sisters-in-law, Pat (Steve) Etzkin of Altamonte, FL and Mary LeMaster of Cherry Valley, IL and several other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of his life will take place at a later date in Illinois.
