Myrtle Glover Cvengros Obituary

Myrtle Irene "Fritzie" Glover Cvengros, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, formerly of Elmurst, Illinois, went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 30, 2025, at the age of 87.

She was born Dec. 19, 1937, in Dixon, Illinois, the daughter of Daniel George and Wilma Louise Ellis Fritz. Fritzie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose life reflected her deep faith and love for her family. She was married to her beloved husband, Pete Cvengros, for 40 years. Together they built a strong foundation of faith and love.

Fritzie's joy came from simple yet meaningful parts of life; gardening, bird watching, singing and crafting. She had a special love for her Tweety Bird. She was known for her warm presence and her gift for making everyone feel at home. Above all, Fritzie loved the Lord and faithfully served him through her involvement at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She was active in church activities, always willing to lend a hand and remained steadfast in prayer. Her life was a testimony of faith, service and devotion. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faithfulness and family-centered living.

She is survived by her husband, Pete Cvengros; and daughters, Betsy Chase and Dawn (Kenny Waggnor) Walton. She was a proud grandmother to Michelle Chase, Amanda Walton, Christine Estopinan and Rachel McDonald. She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren including Ashten, Timmy, Nathaniel, Amerkiss, Jason, Harley and Haley.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. A Funeral Service for Fritzie will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mike Clark officiating. Burial will be private in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
