Ruby Marie Holloway Wood, 86

Ruby "Granny" Marie Holloway Wood, 86, a resident of Mountain Home passed away Monday, July 22, 2013, at her residence.

She was born April 15, 1927, in Palestine, Texas to the late Edward and Bertha Wilhemina (Griffel) Holloway. Ruby relocated to Mountain Home from San Marcos, Texas in 1997 when she retired from the Internal Revenue Service after several years of service. She loved quilting, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruby attended the Martindale Baptist Church in Martindale, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clinton McNiel Wood; six sisters, Hazel Fee, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Barnes, Dee Dees and Dorothy "Jackie" Fields, Katherine Moorehead and Emma Lee Kirkland; two brothers, Edward Franklin "Sonny" Holloway, Jr. and Melvin Holloway.

Survivors include a son, Clinton Wayne Wood of Mountain Home;; six grandchildren, Christopher Wayne Wood of Texas, Thomas McNiel Wood of Oklahoma, and Crystal Renee, Caroline Marie, Matthew Dillon and Jacqueline Rose Wood, all of Arkansas; 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are private under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Area Agency on Aging or the Baxter House Adult Daycare.
