Sharon Hurst Obituary

Mrs. Sharon Hurst, 85, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Mountain Home.

She was born on Feb. 6, 1941, in Harrison, Arkansas, to Sam and Anna Lois (Bradford) Powell. She was married to Robert "Bob" Hurst for 65 years.

Her faith and love of the Lord were most important to her, and it showed in her membership at Arkana Baptist Church.

Throughout her life, she owned several furniture stores and a fence company. She enjoyed music, scrapbooking, shopping and was an avid Razorback fan.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed.

Sharon is survived by her husband, two children, Brad Hurst (Cathy Maynard) and Becca (T.J.) Persenaire; five grandchildren, Adam (Hannah) Persenaire, Addi Persenaire, Lynn (Michael) Carlton, Julie (James) Tilley and Jessica (Larry) Turner; three great-grandchildren, Allyson Tilley, Bradley Tilley, Mikayla (Jeff) Robinson; one great-great-grandchild, Carter Robinson; one sister, Sammy Silzell; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry "Izzy" Powell.

A visitation will be held between 9:30-11 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Roller Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow.

Interment will be at Baxter Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to While We're Waiting or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
