William Jones Obituary

William "Bill" Jones, Jr., 81, passed away on Aug. 15, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Bill was born on Sept. 30, 1940, in Washington, D.C., to William Jones, Sr. and Dorothy Wolford Jones.

Bill married Patsy Jones on Sept. 22, 1959, in Clintwood, Virginia. The couple had three children, Dorothy, William and Elisha. He retired from Cherry Electric as a manager.

Bill was best known for golfing, fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Bill was always telling stories. He enjoyed going to Las Vegas, riding his motorcycle and loved his pets, Molly and Pepper. After moving to Mountain Home in 1985, he worked at Baxter Lab until he retired.

Bill is survived by his wife, Patsy Jones of Mountain Home, Arkansas; daughter Dorothy (Steven) Cooper of Round Lake, Illinois; son William (Denise) Jones, III of Clarkridge, Arkansas; daughter Elisha (Frederick) Sharp-Bradley of Mountain Home, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Rachel (Joshua) Sittler, Lisa (Andy) Griffel, Patsy (Daniel) Hall, Kristen Sharp-Cheesman, Billy (Mariah) Jones, Angela Jones and Jacob Jones and five great-grandchildren, Riley, Corey, Kyndall, Jack William and Liam.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jack Jones, Sr. and Pete Neville and two sisters, Janice Linville and Vickie Barker.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, at Kirby Family Funeral Home. Funeral services for Bill will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 2022, at Kirby Family Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum Private Estate in Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Freddy Bradley, William Jones, III, Billy Jones, Andy Griffel, Joshua Sittler, Riley Walsh, Elisha Sharp and Dorothy Cooper as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Hall and Tyler Walker.

Memorial donations can be made in Bill's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
