Clement F. Iven, only son of Clement B. Iven and Christine Bush Iven was born on November 7, 1934 in Lakeside, Missouri and went to be with our Lord on Sunday, February 7, 2021.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Helen Iven, 3 sons and their wives; Bernie and Dawn Iven, Bobby and Debbie Iven, and Thomas and Stephanie Iven.
Seven grandchildren: Daniel, Cody (Diana), David (Jessika), Michael, Brittany, Chelsea and Brendon Iven.
Seven great grandchildren: Tristan, Judith, Bryson, Maverick, Dominic, Jakob and Oaklen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and five sisters.

Clem was born and raised in Eldon, Missouri and graduated from Eldon High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Clem served as an Electronics and Aircraft Radar Technician. He was a part of Strategic Air Command, 303rd Bomb Wing. His duty stations included Davis-Monthan AFB, Thule, Greenland and Vestgronleand AFB. He left the service April 18, 1960. His career lead him to Texas, where he spent 45 years supporting our nations space programs as a Senior Systems Engineer on the NASA Apollo, Space Shuttle, Space Station & Constellation Programs. He worked for Chrysler, Emerson Electric, General Dynamics, Lockhead Missile & Space and rounding out his career in Houston Texas with Lockhead Electronics, Computer Science Corporation and retired from United Space Alliance in 2009.
Clem always enjoyed being on the water. In 1966, he and Mary Helen became involved in drag boat racing. Over the years, he accomplished many wins, served as President of SDBA and selected to the SDBA Hall of Fame in 1998.
Clem loved to be surrounded by his family and friends. Always willing to lend a hand and share his knowledge.
He leaves behind a void that can never be filled and will be greatly missed by all.
Memorial Mass for Clem Iven will be Friday, February 12, 2021 at 10:30am at Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church in Dickinson, Texas. Masks must be worn & social distancing is in place.
Celebration of his life will be held at his home on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at 12:00pm. Please feel free to come and share your memories.
