Rev. Edward George Denzler, 89, of Pearland, TX passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013. He was born on May 28, 1923 to Adam Denzler and Katherine Fox Denzler in Jamaica, N.Y.
Mr. Denzler was a veteran of World War II (U.S. Army - CBI) and spent most of his adult life working in the aircraft and aerospace industry. He was also a supply pastor in the Lutheran church and served congregations as a volunteer in the many states in which he and Marie resided.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Denzler; sister, Charlotte Denzler; and son, James.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marie Anna Denzler of Pearland, Texas; six children, Edward, Nancy, Cathie, Barbara, Terry and Ted; 20 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Sprague.
Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200.
Burial with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Long Island National Cemetery, Long Island, New York under the direction of Powell Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
