Kenneth Lee Krch, 64, of Friendswood, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2016. He was born February 4, 1952 to M. Fred and Helen Schnelle Krch in Beaumont, TX.
Since he was a child, Ken loved to fish, and he also became a certified scuba diver, diving many times with his family in Cancun and Cozumel. He and his wife Janie also enjoyed traveling, including St. John, California, Norway, and skiing in Deer Valley, Utah. When at home they enjoyed date nights and golfing.
Ken's greatest love was for his family. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ginger Buratt Krch, and his father, M. Fred Krch. Ken is survived by his mother Helen, his wife Janie, his son Kasey, daughter-in-law Katrina and granddaughter Kaylee, his son Kyle, his brother Gary, sister-in-law Kathie, and nephews Karl and Kaleb.
Ken's CPA career included working at Pennzoil, Shell, and Dynegy, where he advanced to be the Managing Director of Tax. Ken had the highest level of commitment to the people he worked with, and always handled himself with consummate integrity and kindness. He constantly demonstrated leadership and was a role model for doing the right thing for all people at all levels. He was always available to help anyone with any issue and truly went above and beyond in too many situations to count. Everyone who worked with Ken was blessed by his presence - he was so unique and special.
Ken was known for his big heart and his generosity. He was a wonderful son, father, grandfather and husband. Making friends for Ken was incredibly easy, and once he met you, he was likely to invite you over for grilled filet mignon and all the fixings, invite you to a Texans game, treat you to a day at the Kemah Boardwalk, or invite you skiing in Utah. Then he wouldn't forget about you, planning more meals and outings with him and Janie over the months and years to come. Ken will be greatly missed by family and many, many friends from work, the community, and his travels.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made in Ken's honor to the American Heart Association, the ASPCA, or you could be like Ken and adopt a stray or shelter cat or dog.
Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546, (281) 992-7200.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 12:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Grand View Cemetery in Pasadena, TX.

Kenny was my college roommate at Texas A&M during his freshman year in 1969. Although we never got in touch after, I still considered him my friend. He was a fun guy and I once bought a "Tweety Bird" poster as a tease. He turned the tables and started calling me "Tweet", a name that stuck. I can still here him calling me when he was irritated "Dang you, Tweet". I'm very sorry to hear of his passing. Bill Larson

It was a pleasure and honor to know this gracious and kind man whose generous spirit and love for life and his fellow man was an example for all. Gone too soon and couldn't be missed too much. We know he is at peace and pray for peace for those left without the joy of his presence. The Lapuerta Family
