Marsha was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her parents Rose and Ed Steininger and her sister Carol Howe. She is survived by her husband Bennett Ford, her children and their spouses, Brian and Lori Ford, Kathleen and Rob Henderson, and Emily and Mike Madison. Her grandchildren; Jessica LaBello (and her husband Bryan), Alex and Cody Henderson, Brice and Max Madison and her great-grandson Matthew Labello. Marsha is also survived by her siblings, Deanna Rombach, Eddie Steininger, Jimmy Steininger, and Mary Stoeker, along with their spouses and many nieces and nephews.

Marsha grew up in Wellsville, New York and at the age of 17 Marsha bravely left home to attend the University of Rochester for a degree in nursing. Nursing was not just a career but a calling for her passion in caring for obstetrics patients and teaching, which she did for decades through the University of Texas Health System finally retiring in 1998.

Her adventurous spirit and love of travel took her around the world - England, Ireland, Greece, Italy, Spain, New Zealand and Australia- where she even swam near the Great Barrier Reef. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and especially dressing up for trick-or-treating.

Marsha was a woman of deep faith and shared her loving and resilient spirit by serving as a Eucharistic Minister in hospitals and volunteered at Texas Children's Hospital and Vitas Hospice for many years.

Marsha spent her final days at Sodalis Memory Care of Deer Park. The family offers heartfelt gratitude to the Sodalis caregivers for their care, kindness and support.

Marsha's life was testament to faith, love, service and generosity. She will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

A Rosary and Mass in her honor will be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church on August 1st at 10: 30 am (Rosary to begin at 10:00 am). In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
