Mary Elizabeth Moore Lowe, 81, of Friendswood, TX passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. She was born October 25, 1934 to Thomas E. Moore and Robbie E. Lee Moore in Birmingham, AL.
After high school and college Mary became an airline stewardess for Delta airlines until meeting the love of her life, Jerry, and marrying him in September of 1965. A few years later she and Jerry adopted two children and she spent the rest of her years being a wonderful mother and loving spouse and friend to many. Mary was an avid lover of the beach and she loved to travel. She also loved to cook, read, and bird watch with Jerry and in her younger years she also loved to fish.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Thomas E. Moore and Robbie E. Lee Moore of Birmingham, AL; her brother, Thomas E. Moore Jr. of Birmingham, AL.
Mary is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jerry S. Lowe of Friendswood, TX; her son Tom Lowe, his wife Tiffany, and grandchildren Emilee, Caleb, and Aubree of Crandall, TX; her daughter Robbie Lowe of Clearwater, FL; sister in law Virginia Moore and her family of Birmingham, AL; and many other relatives and cherished friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200 with Rev. Gale Towns officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Friendswood United Methodist Church, 110 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 or Friendswood EMS, 1000 S. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 or a charity of your choice.
