It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Servando Barrera. Servando was born September 22, 1968 in Los Guerras, Mexico to Armida Casanova and Mamberto Barrera. He was later raised in Conroe, Texas where he started his own family. His passing on October 15, 2021 left such an unexpected heartache.
His true passion in life was being surrounded by family. On his days off he would spend time in his garage woodworking. He had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh that will be missed. Servando is survived by his loving wife Gloria, daughter Gloria Atalie Solis and her husband Joel, sons David and Luis Barrera, his mother, Armida Barrera, and granddaughter, Emalynn Marie Solis. Servando was one of 16 children, his brothers Mamberto, Jr., Victor, Mauricio, Cruz, Ricardo, Raul, Sergio, Hector, Roberto, Alfredo, Jose, and Alejandro, sisters Armida Lujan and Gilberta Barrera. He is preceded in death by his father, Mamberto Barrera and sister Evangelina Barrera.
Visitation for Servando will be on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Cashner Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Garden Park Cemetery.
