Butch, Gregory S. 9/1/1965 - 2/20/2016 Bay City, Michigan Gregory passed away Saturday February 20, 2016 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, age 50. Greg was born on September 1, 1965 in Bad Axe, MI to Thomas and JoAnne (Prill) Butch. Greg graduated from Lakers High School in 1983. Greg held numerous jobs where he met very many different people, each leaving a big imprint on his life before going on to graduate from Delta College in 1994. He was employed by Dow Corning as a chemical technologist for 22 years in which he was admired by his co-workers and those he came in contact with for his attention to detail, willingness to always help others, and his all around enthusiastic disposition. Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of twenty years, Kathlene, whom he married at Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church on July 30, 1995. One son and daughter; Adam and Rachel Butch; his parents Thomas and JoAnne (Prill) Butch; Three brothers and one sister; Randy (Joy), Kevin (Barb), Steve (Trudy) and Suzanne (Dayle) Draher. His Father and Mother-in-law Dr. Jan and Diane K. Pol; his sister and brother-in-law Diane L. and Charles Pol along with many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was proceeded in death by both sets of grandparents; Regina (Vigenski) and Alex Prill and Monica (Lubeski) and John Butch. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and was a member of the Our Lady of Czestochowa A.C. and the Mid Michigan Technician Group. Spending time with his family was the most important part of his life. Along with that he enjoyed running, biking, listening to polkas, Huey Lewis and the News, visiting Frankenmuth and enjoying an ice cold Blue Moon with an orange slice while grilling or listening to/watching the Tigers, the Lions or MSU Men's Basketball. He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his family and multitude of friends. Our lives were made better simply by knowing him. The family would like to thank Katrina, Ben, Tiffany and Kelly for their kind and compassionate care. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday February 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Fr. Rick Filary will officiate and interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Saturday after 9:00 a.m. A Parish Vigil Service for Greg will be held Friday at 7:00 pm. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider donations to a start up for an annual race in his honor and a scholarship in his name for others. www.ambrosefuneralchapel.com

I am sorry to learn of your loss. Grief is one of the hardest trials of life to overcome. I lost my brother-in-law and grandmother recently.
From watching the Man that Greg became in his lifetime it Is comforting, warming and more than most could ask for of a person to amount to. He made glorious impacts on all who were fortunate to meet him and even those who only knew him from "The Incredible Dr. Pol."
Greg will be remembered, Cherished, Loved and imprinted in the Hearts of Many!
God bless the Butch family and friends during the next year of 1st experiences to overcome. Amen.

Kathy, Rachel & Adam,
My most deepest sympathies on the loss of Greg. I worked with him for many years as part of the electronics team. He was the best we had - technically and the best at what he did. Butchy and I were close friends even though I was based in Connecticut. May god bless him and also ease your pain. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. He will never be replaced and was a "legend" at Dow Corning and the electronics industry. Snow storms are preventing me from coming out for his services but my heart and memories are with you.....

Kathy, Adam and Rachel:
I was to sorry to hear of your husband and father's death. He put up such a good tough fight that it is a blessing to know he is now pain free and in a better place, looking down on you. The memories you share of your times together will last you a lifetime, until you see him again. Always remember that because you took such good care of him, he now gets to watch over and take care of you. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hello I am one of the many coworkers with Butch at the Auburn labs at the near end of my 44 years at D,C It WAS It was common for us to connect at the coffee pot and enjoy conversations about living in Bay City. My wife and I would eat at the polish Kresizals which I remember was near where you folks lived at that time.I believe that one conversation allway stuck in my mind and it was his wife was getting ready to care for children in their home. My wife and I now live in Southen midFlorida since 2001. But the daily catchups with Butch was allways one of pleasure. Butch was a real people person
