David Keiper Obituary

David Nelson
Keiper, Jr., 69
FREDERICA, DE - David Nelson Keiper, Jr. passed away in his home on February 2, 2024 after a long battle with diabetes and heart disease. He was born on August 19, 1954 to the late David Nelson Sr and Eleanor Keiper of Laflin, PA.
David served 20 years in the Air Force, joining in May 1975. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for Lowe's in Dover. David had a big heart and always put his family first. He loved fishing and antique cars. He was also an amazing mechanic and carpenter. David will be missed by so many. He was always quick to help out a friend, tell a joke, tinker in his wood shop, or just get his hands dirty in his garage working on his antique cars.
David was preceded in death by his son, David Nelson Keiper III; and his parents, David and Eleanor Keiper.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Raelynn Keiper; daughter, Kimberlee Parker; granddaughters, Reagan Parker, Natalie Parker, Niamh Parker; grandsons, Liam Parker, David Dallas Keiper; soon to be grandsons, Connor Johnson, Isaac Silva; great granddaughter, Maxine Thomas; great grandson, Joel Parker; sister, Sandra Chimock (Scott).
David's final wish was to be cremated and not have a public service.

Dave Keiper worked in Transient Maintenance at Dover AFB during some of his Air Force career. He was a valuable member of Swing shift during this time. He was a great mechanic and very reliable. He was engine run qualified on the C-141 and he was valuable in that qualification. Because of his diabetes, he had to be medically retired. Losing him on our shift was a big blow. I was sorry to see him go. Thank you for your service my friend and God Bless your family.

Mr Keiper you will be missed by so very many, I always loved working with him! We were resetting plumbing one day and I was torturing some of our team with knock knock jokes.
Knock knock
Who´s there
Banana
Banana who
Knock knock
Who´s there
Orange
Orange who
And all the sudden I hear him from the other side of the isle yell " orange you glad I didn´t say Banana again"!!!! I ran over to and told him I loved him for knowing the punch line ... of course we all had a huge laugh, one of so many we shared.
Rest easy my friend
