Freda Prothe Obituary
Freda was retired from Fuqua, Yori, and Rogers Law Firm as a Title Researcher. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and was a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Seaford.
She is survived by her children, John Hensley, Jr., Colleen Dean, Lonnie Hensley, Richard Davis, and Daniel Davis; grandchildren, Amy Hensley, Katie Hensley, Mathew Macoy, Ashley Frey, Erica Dean, Peyton Dean, Mike Hensley, Joe Hensley, Melissa Hensley, Alyssa Davis, Owen Davis, Nicole Wonneman, Sarah Davis, and Dalton Davis; great-grandchildren, Eric Lemon, Briana Lemon, Imani Bowser, Ashley Harris, Kasie Harris, and Shaun Frey. Freda is also survived by her siblings, Stirl Thomas Johnson, Jr. and Mary (Jane) Johnson Murphy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Prothe; and her daughter, Linda Hensley-Serpa.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West Street Laurel, Delaware 19956. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church, 315 N. Shipley Street, Seaford, Delaware 19973. Reverend David Nuss will officiate. Interment will be held on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, 1911 Forest Drive, Annapolis, Maryland 21401 at 2:30 p.m.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel, Delaware.
