John W. Canevari, 56
October 23, 1964 – October 20, 2021
DOVER - John Canevari of Dover, Del. formerly of Mashpee, Mass. and Norwalk, Conn. passed away at home on October 20, 2021 from natural causes.
John was born on October 23, 1964 in Norwalk, Conn. to the late Louis Theodore and Dorothy DeVack Canevari and graduated from Norwalk High School and The Culinary Institute of America.
He launched his career on Cape Cod, Mass. where he worked as a chef in the resort industry for several years before relocating to Delaware. John enjoyed spending time with family and sharing his culinary talents, which were much appreciated by all.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Canevari; and stepfather, Dr. Irwin Weisbrot of Norwalk, Conn.; brothers, Thomas Canevari (Vickie) of Stratford, Conn. and Michael Canevari of Milford, Del.; a sister, Karen Staff (Peter) of Norwalk, Conn.; nieces, Margaux and Dolly Canevari; and nephews, Kevin and Stephen Staff. John was predeceased by his father, Louis "Ted" Canevari; and sister-in-law, Cynthia Canevari.
Interment will be private and a celebration of John's life will be planned for a later date.
