Louis Clough Obituary

Louis C. "Louie" Clough, age 70, of Milford, DE passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at his home in Milford, DE.
"Louie" (or "Lou" as many referred to him later in life) was born March 12, 1954 in Dover, DE, the son of Louis Everett Clough and the late Norma Jean "Kemp" Clough. He was a 1972 graduate of Queen Anne's High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged due to a medical issue shortly after enlisting. "Lou" then started a long career in the automobile business. He began working in the parts department at Ennis and Deakyne Ford in Smyrna, DE. From there he worked for many other automotive dealerships in the area holding various positions. "Lou" was a talker and never met a stranger. With these qualities, he found that his true passion was sales. He always took pride in being the top salesperson at any dealership that he worked, and was recognized with many awards. His excellent sales ability led him to become general manager of Gateway Chevrolet in Easton MD. However, his proudest accomplishment came in 1993, when he founded Delmarva RV Center, Inc. "Lou" loved motorcycles and cars and enjoyed going out on boat rides and playing guitar. He loved being around people and always enjoyed a good party. He was a member of the Milford Moose Lodge 2316. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge and VFW. "Lou" was kind hearted and will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Jean "Kemp" Clough.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy L. Clough of Milford, DE, one son, Ryan Clough (Kimberly) of Milford, DE, one granddaughter, Victoria Clough of Rehoboth Beach DE, his father, Louis E. Clough of Barclay, MD, two brothers, Lee Clough of Chestertown, MD, Dudley Clough (Kathy) of Harrington, DE, and two sisters, Bonnie Tucker (Tommy) of Rock Hall, MD, and Cindy McFarland (Donnie) of Price, MD.
