Robert Beryl Sehorn passed away late Friday night, February 16, 2024, at Christiana Care.
He was born November 25, 1963, at Kent General Hospital in Dover, the son of Richard Beryl Sehorn and Ruth Emma (Ford) Sehorn.
In high school he learned carpentry at Vo-Tech, worked with a private contractor for several years and loved working with wood. He made shelves and cabinets and would refurbish furniture. He later worked at Metalcraft and Playtex as a forklift operator. After his marriage to Debra Lynn Tearl in 1990 would help his father-in-law, Arthur Tearl with electrical work, including putting a new heating system in his mother's house.
He listened to Guns and Roses, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Aerosmith and played guitar. He loved watching You Tube videos of guitar players, NASCAR racing, old westerns, Sandford and Son, and one of his favorite movies, Dazed and Confused.
He loved dancing in the kitchen with Debbie, listening to music and singing to each other and watching his granddaughters.
He always had health issues, starting with asthma, kidney issues and hip issues. He had three hip replacements, and one of them was going bad again, so he scheduled another surgery. He kept saying he couldn't wait to have the surgery so he could back to normal, but the surgery did him in.
He leaves to survive him, the love of his life, Debra Lynn Sehorn, his daughter, Kristin Benjamin, her husband Dave, and two beautiful granddaughters, Aubrey and Madison, his mother Ruth Casson and brother Alan Sehorn, and Dorothy Tearl, his other mom. He will be sorely missed by all of us.
Burial will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.
