Robert Surguy

1958 - 2016

DOVER - On the evening of April 2, 2016 Robert Surguy, passed away after his lifelong battle with Polycystic Kidney Disease. He was surrounded by his loving family and the kind staff of Bayhealth Hospital, Dover. Rob always had a huge smile and much love for his family. He loved the outdoors; hunting and fishing, with his son, brothers, and labrador retrievers. In his youth he enjoyed playing football and baseball, excelling in both. He will be most remembered for his quick wit and dry humor. He never met an enemy. Rob retired from the State of Delaware as a fiscal manager and grant writer for the WIC program. He suffered in health for many years, and yet selflessly donated his body to the Gift of Life to help others. He leaves us with heads bowed. Rob is survived by many loved ones. Devoted father to Ben Surguy; loving brother to Bonnie Valeski, Beverly (Daniel) Moore, Daniel (Helen) Surguy, Stacey (Rick) Surguy-Wooters, and Shawn Surguy. He also leaves behind brother-in-law Julian Marvel, sister-in-law Rebecca Surguy and former wife Tracy Surguy. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and his 'big, brown dog' his chocolate lab, Katie, his constant companion. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Kathleen Surguy and siblings, Aline Peyton, Carol Marvel & Charles Surguy Jr. Memorial Visitation Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W.
