Patricia Bardes Obituary

Patricia Kay (Walsh) Bardes, aged 84 passed away peacefully at her home in Nashville, IN on November 26, 2025 with her family by her side.

Patricia "Pat" was born July 13th, 1941 in Logansport, IN to her parents the late Willard and Elizabeth Ann (Hobbs) Walsh and attended Scecina High School in Indianapolis. She married William "Bill" Bardes on October 8, 1977 in New Palestine, IN. He lovingly survives her after 48 years of happy and devoted marriage.

Pat worked in various retail positions but found her true passion in her artwork. She attended Heron School of Art and art seminars around the country. She worked in oil, watercolors, pastels and other media producing beautiful landscapes and scenes from travels around the country and the world. She was a member of the Brown County Art Gallery and showed numerous paintings in the Gallery over the years. She and Bill spent winters in Tucson, AZ after retirement and made many close friends there. They also lived and worked in Cairo and Alexandria, Egypt for several years leaving behind a positive legacy that greatly impacted the community.

Besides her art and travel, she found true joy and great fulfillment in her family and friends. She will be missed by her husband, Bill Bardes of Nashville, IN, her daughter Laura Carlisle of Mt. Pleasant, SC, her son John Westerhaus of Overland Park, KS, her daughter Jehane Osler of Pendleton, IN and son, Christopher Burnett of Ft. Wayne, IN, as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pat is predeceased by her son, David Westerhaus.
