Adam Scott Sanden, 33, of Manlius, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois, with his family by his side.
Born on November 13, 1991, in Spring Valley, Illinois, to Tobias and Victoria Sanden, Adam loved spending time with his family, farming during harvest season, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Generous, warm, and devoted, Adam brought laughter, joy, and kindness to everyone who knew him. He will be remembered and cherished always.
He is survived by his parents, Tobias and Victoria Sanden; his sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly and Aidan Askin; his aunts and uncles, Edgar Kim (Nancy) Sanden, Michael (Sandy) Sanden, Calvin Jr. "Butch" Sanden, Chet (Joette) Nickells, Don Nickells, Erin McCauley, Sally Reuter, and Chris Nickells; and his cousins, Taylor (Neil Johnson) Forhan, Paisley Forhan, Ella McCauley, Blake Nickells, Jason (Danni) McCauley, Nathan Nickells, Chad Reuter, Ashley Reuter, Brian (Katlyn) Sanden, Ashley Wiggim, Brad (Amy) Sanden, Angie Sanden, Curtis Sanden, and Chad Sanden.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Calvin and Margaret Sanden, Helen Hutchinson Cutter, and Norman Reese Nickells; his aunt, Karla Carr; his uncle, Daniel Nickells; and his beloved dogs, Buddy and Sophia.
He will be profoundly missed by many, especially his parents, Toby and Vicki; his sister and brother-in-law, Kimi and Aidan; his cousins, Taylor, Neil, and Paisley; and his uncle, Chris, all of whom hold dear the joyful memories and moments they shared with him throughout his life.
A private service will be held at Manlius Cemetery on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Adam's memory to the Manlius Fire Department (Emergency Medical Services), Friends of Strays, and the Bureau Valley Sports Boosters.
