George Reuter, 84, of Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Franklin Grove Living and Rehabilitation Center.
He worked as a self-employed farmer and owner-operator of Reuter's Trucking. George enjoyed camping with his family and taking his camper out to Arizona during the winter months. George was very proud of owning his own farm and was very social in the community. His sense of humor and "driveway talks" will surely be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pat Reuter; two children, son, Jeff (Patti) Reuter of Machesney Park, IL, and daughter, Susan (Joe) Donnelly of Ohio, IL; brother, Tom (Ann) Reuter of Sterling, IL; sister, Florence Hichborn of Bettendorf, Iowa; sister-in-law, Carolyn Reuter of Sterling, IL; four grandchildren, Bob (Julia) Hochstein, Kristi Ransom, Ashley Donnelly, and Diana Donnelly; and four great-grandchildren, Jermaine and Jaxsun Ramson, and Lorelei and Jonah Hochstein.
George was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Bill.
Visitation will be Monday, August 23, 2021, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, with the funeral following at 10 a.m. Reverend Thomas Shaw will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Ohio . Per the family's request, masks must be worn to enter the funeral home.
