TISKILWA - Rose Mary Waca, 71, of Tisklwa, lost her battle with an ongoing illness on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Allure of Galesburg.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of The Fiocchi-Jensen Funeral Home, Princeton. Interment will follow at Mt. Bloom Cemetery, Tiskilwa. Her family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home.

Rose was born on August 14, 1949 in Hamilton, Ohio to James and Ruth (Miller) Lester. She ran a successful beauty salon for many years. She loved working with the public, pursuing her nursing degree. She was working to open her own restaurant before her illness. She had pursued her nursing degree at Illinois Valley CommunityCollege.

She has been with her husband and love of her life, Ed Waca since August 15, 1986. She was a member of the Kewanee Assembly of God Church, but enjoyed attending the Tiskilwa Community Church, where she was a member of the women's sewing club. She was a woman of great faith and loved the Lord.

She is survived by the love of her life and companion of 35 years, Edward Waca of Tiskilwa; her children, Sherri (Mark) Koger of Princeton, Randy C. Gandy of Genoa City, Wisconsin, and Richard C.(Rachel) Baetens of Normal; four grandchildren, Nicholaus, Erica Jade, Mike, and Laura; her sisters, Virginia (Marco) Maya of Ocala, Florida, and Susan(Dennis) DeSpain of Henry; three of Edward's daughters that she loved, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Owen; and sisters, Jewel, Joan, and Jennifer.

Memorials may be directed to her family.
