Died: October 29, 2022 in Princeton, IL
Steven "Pin" Craig Johnson, 70, of Princeton passed away on October 29, 2022 at his home with his wife and daughter at his side after complications of kidney failure.
Pin was born on July 18, 1952 to Elmer and Phyllis (Johnson) Johnson in Spring Valley. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1970 and married Joy (Neuhalfen) Johnson on May 31, 1980. They have a daughter, Georgianne (Cliff) Laine of Peoria, Illinois and two granddogs Bonnie and Marlin. He worked at Champion Pneumatics in Princeton for over 20 years.
Pin is survived by his mother Phyllis, wife Joy, daughter Georgianne (Cliff) Laine, and three siblings, Deb (Scott) Bowen of Neponset, Paul (Denise) Johnson of Princeton, and Ellen Johnson of Addison.
He is preceded in death by his father Elmer, and two siblings, Mike Johnson and Pam (Johnson) Foley, and his best dog friend Dutch.
An avid lifelong fisherman, Pin loved to teach others and likely gave away far more lures than he lost. He regularly went hunting with his closest friends and often claimed he was such a good shot, they needed to travel to find more game to hunt. He belonged to Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, and the Turkey Federation. Pin always had time to help a friend in need and was forever cooking something delicious to feed them too. He loved spending time with his family and you could always find him on the front porch with his dog Dutch.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Gift of Hope, and the In Home CareConnection Hospice.

One of the best men I´ve ever known! He and my son Rob were friends going back to corn picking days with Pioneer. He was always fun to be around and I´m going to miss him and Time with him at the PI. Love you Pin. Have a great time up there with Rob!
