Born Sept. 9, 1968, in DeLand, Royce attended St. Peter's Catholic School, and graduated from DeLand High School, Class of 1986. She then attended the University of Georgia in Athens.
Royce is survived by her father and mother, Craig and Marjorie Sweeney, and sister Garrett Sweeney Hiday.
