Billie "Mac" McCourtney

March 7, 1941 - November 29, 2025

Billie "Mac" McCourtney, born March 7, 1941, in Table Rock, Nebraska, passed away on November 29, 2025, at the age of 84. A 1959 graduate of Beatrice High School in Nebraska, he went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Navy, taking part in the Bay of Pigs and completing three tours in Vietnam before retiring from the Navy in 1977.

Mac was married to the love of his life, Donna Jeane (Springer), for 55 years, she preceded him in death. Also preceded in death by his brother, Dick Allen McCourtney and brother-in-law, Richard Duitsman, both of Nebraska. He is survived by his brother, Charles (Sue) Estes of Kansas; his sisters, Cora (Charles) Tweetie and Joyce Duitsman of Nebraska; daughters, Debra (Keith) Lund of Fallon and Linda Baker, and son, Michael (Wendy) McCourtney of Tucson.

A resident of Fallon, Nevada, for the last 30 years of his life, Mac built his world around his family. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his steady presence, dry sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to his country.
