Dale Brucker Obituary

Death

Dale E. Brucker, 84, Home, Kan., died Saturday, July 16, 2005, at Community Memorial Healthcare, Marysville, Kan. He was born April 30, 1921, at Home, Kan., the son of Philip and Ruth Brucker. He graduated from Beatrice High School, Beatrice, Neb., in 1938, and was a life-long farmer and stockman. He married Kathleen Moss on May 23, 1945, at Annunciation Church, Frankfort, Kan. They lived and farmed on the Brucker homestead. He had served on the Koch and Whiteway school boards, the Balderson Township Board, and Farm Bureau Board and had received the Bankers' Award for Soil Conservation. He helped organize Fire District 5 at Oketo, was a 4-H woodworking leader, a member of the National Farmers Organization, Farmers Union, Knights of Columbus and attended St. Malachy's Church in Beattie.

Survivors: wife, Kathleen; daughters, Peggy Blackwell of Blue Rapids, Ellen Shumaker of Wichita; sons, Henry Brucker of Marysville, Larry Brucker of Beattie; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Yvonne Prigel of Kansas City, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Brucker and Ruth Brucker Sedlacek.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, St. Malachy's Catholic Church, Beattie. Burial: St. Patrick's Cemetery, Beattie. Visitation from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kinsley Mortuary, 1006 Broadway, Marysville. Memorial fund established. Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville, in charge of arrangements.
